Success in this role requires a commitment to a culture of caring, where attention to detail and flexibility are essential to meeting the unique needs of the community.
Your day will involve a thorough cleaning of member apartments, including washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming, and sweeping all surfaces. This role requires prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, and stooping. You will need the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (using a hand truck for loads over 35 pounds) and operate various housekeeping equipment, including carts, mops, vacuums, and floor machines. The position involves constant exposure to cleaning chemicals, requiring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). While the environment is primarily air-conditioned, you may encounter varying noise levels, medical waste, unsanitary conditions, and unpleasant odors. You will interact regularly with residents, family members, and staff under all circumstances.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma and preferably have one to two years of housekeeping experience. Strong command of the English language is required, along with a solid understanding of infection control policies and heavy equipment performance.
