This position is dedicated to maintaining a clean, orderly, and attractive environment within patient areas, offices, clinics, and other assigned spaces at Tufts Medicine. Operating under close supervision, the role focuses on the delivery of essential support services, including housekeeping, waste removal, and sanitation, to ensure all activities meet the organization's quality standards and expectations.
The majority of time is spent in a "hands-on" environment performing routine tasks that follow standard procedures. This entry-level role is designed for individuals who thrive in a supportive setting where work is closely guided, requiring the ability to communicate information clearly and follow established protocols for infection control and safety.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMaintain cleaning carts in orderly condition and ensure supplies are fully stocked
- check_circleClean and disinfect patient room bathrooms and replenish supplies
- check_circleDisinfect patient rooms and make beds upon patient discharge
- check_circleTransport linen hampers and replace full linen bags
- check_circleOperate heavy duty cleaning equipment such as floor machines and buffers
- check_circleCollect and dispose of needle boxes following safety procedures
- check_circlePerform cleaning and sanitization of operating rooms
- check_circleDust, damp disinfect floors, and post wet floor signs when mopping
- check_circleEmpty and sanitize waste receptacles and replace plastic liners
- check_circleDamp dust, polish, and disinfect furniture and vacuum carpets
- check_circleSet up furniture and audio-visual equipment for functions
- check_circleRemove all waste including regular rubbish, recyclables, and hazardous materials
Requirements
