About the Role
As a Room Attendant, you are the guardian of our guests' comfort and confidence. Your primary mission is to ensure that every guest room and public area remains consistently clean, organized, and welcoming. You play a vital role in creating a warm environment where guests feel safe and cared for, reflecting the hotel's commitment to excellence.
This position requires more than just cleaning; it demands an eye for detail and a professional demeanor. You will be responsible for transforming spaces into pristine sanctuaries, adhering to strict health, safety, and sanitary guidelines while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality to build trust with our guests.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with a focus on organization and efficiency. You will meticulously clean and stock assigned guest rooms, handling everything from changing linens and dusting furniture to deep-cleaning bathrooms and appliances. Throughout your shift, you will maintain a professional appearance in your brand-approved uniform and name tag, ensuring you represent the hotel with pride.
You will interact with guests as you encounter them, greeting them warmly and demonstrating a sense of urgency to provide a thoughtful experience without disrupting their stay. Communication is key; you will keep the Head Housekeeper informed of room status, participate in daily standup meetings, and report any maintenance deficiencies or safety concerns immediately.
Safety and compliance are woven into every task. You will follow strict chemical handling procedures, adhere to OSHA and federal guidelines, and ensure all equipment and storage areas remain clean and organized. Additionally, you may assist in training new staff and participate in seasonal deep-cleaning duties, contributing to a positive and enjoyable work environment for the entire housekeeping team.
