The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for our hotel guests, tasked with creating a "larger than home" experience through welcoming, helpful, and exceptional service. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, comfortable, and inviting environment while ensuring every guest feels seen and valued.
In this position, you will be the heartbeat of the lobby and host stand. Your day involves greeting guests with warmth and enthusiasm, managing seating logistics, and facilitating smooth communication between guests and the Food & Beverage teams. You will be responsible for creating genuine connections by engaging in conversation, anticipating needs, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the dining experience. From managing waitlists and confirming reservations to distributing amenities and communicating special occasions, you set the tone for the entire visit.
You will also serve as a guardian of our standards, executing Forbes Standards and Hotel Standard Operating Procedures. This includes maintaining the host stand, managing equipment, and ensuring guest safety and well-being at all times. The role requires a high level of attentiveness and the ability to resolve requests or complaints courteously and efficiently, ensuring that every guest leaves with a desire to return.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by our hiring team. The process typically includes a conversation to discuss your background and alignment with our Guiding Principles, followed by a practical assessment of your service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
