Located at the iconic Romer House in Waikiki, Hawaii, our restaurant is part of TableOne Hospitality. We are dedicated to embodying the hospitality, charm, and professionalism that define our organization. Our culture is built on integrity, honesty, and a deep respect for our guests and business partners, ensuring every interaction reflects our core values.
The Host is the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for setting the tone for their entire dining experience. You will welcome all visitors with gracious hospitality, ensuring they receive responsive and professional service from the moment they arrive. This role is vital to maintaining the flow of service throughout the dining room, acting as the bridge between the front door and the rest of the restaurant.
In this position, you will manage guest seating, answer phones, and take reservations. You will also serve as a knowledgeable resource, answering inquiries about the menu, specific food items, and the wine list. Beyond guest interaction, you will maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant entrance and workstation, ensuring the environment remains pristine. Success in this role requires excellent hospitality instincts, the ability to communicate clearly as part of a team, and a drive to provide exceptional customer service.
Candidates with 1-2 years of upscale restaurant and bar experience, including prior hosting duties, are encouraged to apply. We look for individuals who are impeccably groomed, maintain good hygiene and posture, and possess a pleasant, professional phone demeanor. Those with food and wine knowledge are particularly welcome.
We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
