About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Massage Therapist (PRN) to join our team in Dallas, TX. This role is designed for a Licensed Massage Therapist with a genuine heart for seniors and a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of the patients you serve. As a charismatic communicator, you will be the gift of reading people, engaging with patients and families to ensure everyone feels taken care of.
In this position, your primary function is to provide massage-related services within the patient's place of residence. You will work cooperatively with the patient and their family to assist in providing a safe and clean environment. The role requires you to work in various home conditions, which may include exposure to blood and body fluids, infectious diseases, and unpredictable weather. You will be expected to travel locally, maintain a flexible schedule, and possess the physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
Beyond clinical massage therapy, you will play a vital role in the continuity of care by reporting changes to the clinical care team, practicing accepted infection control principles, and promoting an environment of respect for patient privacy and property. You will also support community events and attend weekly Case Conferences and bi-weekly IDG meetings to ensure quality care and alignment with our agency philosophy.
