About the Role
The Home Manager serves as a vital member of the Interdisciplinary Team, overseeing the daily operations and well-being of assigned group homes. This role exists to ensure a safe, compliant, and nurturing environment for consumers while managing the staff and resources required to support them effectively.
In this position, you will manage the full spectrum of facility operations, from maintaining cleanliness and equipment to ensuring vehicles are serviced and all required fire and sanitation inspections are completed. You will be responsible for the medical needs of each consumer, including medication checks and scheduling appointments, as well as maintaining adequate emergency food and household supplies.
A significant portion of your day involves leading the Direct Support Professional (DSP) team. You will develop staff schedules to comply with wage and hour laws, approve timesheets, and conduct performance appraisals with measurable feedback. Additionally, you will assist in training new employees, implementing disciplinary actions when necessary, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with LIFE, Inc. policies.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma or equivalent
- verifiedExperience in Human Services field
- verifiedSupervisory experience (preferred)
- verifiedNC driver's license
- verifiedThorough knowledge of group home operations
- verifiedUnderstanding of Developmental Disabilities and Mental Illness
- verifiedUnderstanding of employee relations and management operations
