If so, we'd welcome an opportunity to talk with you about the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Homemaker position.
You don't need to be a gourmet chef, just someone who enjoys preparing meals, organizing spaces, and helping others feel at home. As a Homemaker with VNA, you'll work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with no evenings, weekends, or major holidays. You will play a vital role in helping clients live safely and independently in the place they feel most at ease, their own home. While your work includes light housekeeping and meal preparation, what truly sets this role apart is the connection you build with each person you serve. Your presence brings comfort. Key Responsibilities

- check_circleCreate a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment through light housekeeping
- check_circlePrepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with basic kitchen tasks
- check_circleRun occasional errands, such as grocery shopping
- check_circleManage a schedule of several client appointments each day
- check_circleLift up to 35 lbs regularly and 50 lbs occasionally
- check_circlePerform environmental services outlined in care plans
Requirements
- verifiedHigh-school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedPrevious experience as an environmental services worker or one year healthcare experience preferred
- verifiedCar, adequate liability insurance and current driver's license required
- verifiedCriminal background check required
- verifiedNegative finding on OIG Excluded Provider List required
- verifiedGeneral knowledge of the aging process and infection control measures
- verifiedWorking knowledge of English language (oral and written)
- verifiedAbility to follow care plan directions
- verifiedAbility to manage a schedule of several client appointments
