Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, the Laboratory Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of the Arizona Dermatopathology lab in Scottsdale. This position serves as a technical resource, utilizing independent judgment to troubleshoot complex issues and resolve problems within the pathology laboratory.
The role involves a blend of leadership and hands-on technical work. You will assist in the supervision of lab personnel, including hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance appraisals. Beyond management duties, you will perform a full range of routine and specialized procedures, ensuring the lab maintains high standards of safety and quality. A key part of your day will involve training staff on equipment usage and procedures, while also supporting the Lab Manager in maintaining CLIA documentation and preparing for CAP and CLIA inspections.
