This position serves as a critical technical leader, providing onsite and remote direction to site personnel and customers. You will be responsible for preparing job planning documents that define work scope through engineering instructions, drawings, and process instructions. A key part of your day involves leading skilled labor performing work on customer sites, ensuring projects are executed with precision and safety.
You will troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on a wide range of equipment, including power transformers, switchgear, protection relays, control systems, and motors. A significant portion of the role focuses on troubleshooting electrical problems within substations at wind and solar plants. Beyond technical execution, you will exercise sound judgment in controlling costs and manage administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job completion reports for customers.
In this role, you will also mentor and train unqualified technicians, requiring strong organizational and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative and safe team culture. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential to meet the dynamic needs of our field operations.

Previous High Voltage experience. Familiarity with test equipment and testing procedures for transformers, relays, breakers, and underground splices. Familiarity with switching pad mount transformers and substations. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read schematics. Ability to write and interpret switching orders.
