This position serves as a pivotal leadership point within the IT Help Desk, bridging the gap between technical execution and team management. You will be responsible for the oversight, mentoring, and hiring of IT Help Desk Student-Workers, ensuring the team operates with high efficiency and morale. Beyond managing the student workforce, you will act as a primary point of contact for complex technology support, analyzing incoming calls, determining appropriate escalation paths, and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive follow-up.
The role is integral to the strategic vision of IT services, requiring you to align daily operations with institutional objectives. You will interact with key internal stakeholders and external entities to ensure technology support services are robust and responsive. This position demands a balance of hands-on troubleshooting and high-level coordination, including managing work schedules, maintaining confidentiality in the Banner program, and reporting critical information to the Assistant Manager of IT Academic and Healthcare Support.
