About the Role

The POS Field Service Technician serves as the frontline technical partner for grocery retailers, ensuring their point-of-sale ecosystems and associated hardware remain operational. This role is accountable for delivering timely responses to service requests within an assigned territory, typically spanning a 150-mile radius with limited overnight travel.

In this position, you will be the primary point of contact for store personnel, translating complex technical issues into clear, actionable solutions. Your day-to-day involves troubleshooting, fault isolation, and repairing a wide array of equipment, including POS terminals, laser printers, meat scales, wrappers, and network infrastructure. Beyond break/fix repairs, you will conduct preventative maintenance, perform software and hardware configurations, and manage installs and upgrades to keep stores running efficiently.

Success in this role requires a balance of technical precision and professional communication. You will maintain accurate documentation of all service calls, manage spare parts inventory, and care for company-provided resources such as vehicles, tools, and test equipment. The role demands the ability to work independently while collaborating with the Truno team, often requiring flexibility to work regular hours and after-hours availability to meet critical store deadlines.
