About the Role
The Operator – Heavy Equipment is a vital role within our recycling centers, landfills, and transfer stations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery to transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil. This position exists to ensure our facilities run smoothly while adhering to strict safety standards and environmental responsibilities.
In this role, you will operate equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders. Your day involves performing pre- and post-operation inspections, monitoring waste for unacceptable materials, and conducting minor equipment maintenance to minimize downtime. You will also document equipment conditions and ensure the shop remains clean and serviced at the end of each shift. Success in this role requires a sense of pride in your work, strong time management, and the ability to act with honesty and trustworthiness toward customers and co-workers.
Hiring Process
