About the Role

The Equipment Operator is a vital member of our landfill operations team, responsible for operating and maintaining heavy, motorized equipment in a safe and efficient manner. You will play a key role in processing incoming materials to build waste cells according to designed landfill permitted plans. Your work ensures that the facility runs smoothly, from managing earth moving and trash processing to maintaining organized working areas and building access roads.

In this role, you will coordinate closely with traffic control spotters to identify fill areas and operate various machinery, including compactors, dozers, and water tankers, to support daily operations. You will also be responsible for identifying potentially hazardous materials and ensuring strict adherence to safe work practices and procedures.
