This role is based in 3 Main, a department divided into three wings (West, South, and East) that deliver comprehensive medical, surgical, and telemetry care to adult and geriatric patients. The unit manages a broad range of acute and chronic conditions, including heart failure, COPD, infections, and gastrointestinal disorders, alongside specialized services in cardiac, renal, respiratory, and vascular care. Two of the wings feature private rooms, blending complex care and medical-surgical environments to meet diverse patient needs while maintaining a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.
As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will offer unparalleled customer service to patients, families, and visitors to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience. Using your administrative and clerical skills, you will ensure an efficient operational flow of the department, allowing your fellow caregivers to continue providing optimal patient care. You will be the first point of contact for newly admitted and transferred patients, conducting in-person greetings and orientations, while also assisting with wayfinding and directing patients to available resources.
Cleveland Clinic Health System administers an influenza prevention program. You will be required to comply with this program, which includes obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.
