About the Role
The Head Coach of the JV Football program leads the administration and development of the team with a primary focus on safety, ethics, and competitive integrity. This role goes beyond game strategy; it involves cultivating a culture of honesty, integrity, and emotional intelligence among students and staff. The coach acts as a role model, teaching appropriate behavior and educational values while managing the logistical and financial aspects of the program, including equipment, budgets, and facility safety.
In this position, you will serve as the bridge between the school, families, and the local community. You will lead preseason parent orientations to review eligibility and team rules, maintain open lines of communication with media, and work closely with the Athletic Director to resolve issues and support the broader athletic mission. The day-to-day involves overseeing practices and contests, ensuring all safety protocols are met, and mentoring assistant coaches to deliver an optimum sports program.

Requirements

Recent coaching experience (within the last five years). A valid teaching license. A verifiable record of being part of a winning tradition, including post-season VHSL playoff competitions as a varsity football coach.
