This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. Our team of more than 7,000 professionals worldwide delivers all-domain expertise and advanced technologies in service of mission partners across the globe. Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense—the data evolution—by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers.
HII works within the nation's intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, and software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners.
HII Mission Technologies is seeking talented engineers excited to work in a flipped engineering environment. Our team specializes in reverse engineering and microelectronics trust and assurance. In this role, you will utilize in-house software tools to reverse engineer hardware assets provided by the U.S. government.
During your analysis, you will identify common hardware structures like embedded processors, DSPs, filters, transceivers, data links, and decoders, determining the operational parameters they were designed for. You will be exposed to and learn about design techniques across a variety of domains, including cybersecurity, electronic warfare, encryption, radar, and satellite communications. Your work will involve producing clear documentation explaining the components, capabilities, and features of asset systems and collaborating with teammates to create improved processes.
This position is contingent upon contract award. Candidates must possess an active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph at the time of application and consideration. To learn more about Mission Technologies, you can view a short video at the following link: vimeo.com.
