About the Role
As a Pet Stylist, you will be the heart of our grooming salon, providing professional grooming services that ensure every pet looks and feels their best. This role is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to showcase your creativity, expertise, and genuine passion for animals in a dynamic environment.
Your day will be dedicated to performing expert-level grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. You will prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every animal in your care, monitoring them for signs of discomfort or illness while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction to pet parents. You will interact professionally with customers, offering custom recommendations on grooming maintenance and at-home care to promote the overall health of their pets.
Beyond the salon floor, you will maintain a clean and safe environment, sanitizing tools and equipment according to strict hygiene policies. This role offers a clear path for growth, with opportunities to advance into leadership positions such as Grooming Salon Leader, Grooming Mentor, or Grooming Instructor.
Hiring Process
To join our team, candidates must successfully complete the Petco Stylist Apprentice program or possess previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program. We look for individuals with a high-school diploma or GED (preferred), a genuine passion for animals, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy.
