About the Role

As a Pet Stylist, you will be the heart of our grooming salon, providing professional grooming services to our valued customers' pets. Your role is to ensure that each pet receives exceptional care, leaving them looking and feeling their best. You will showcase your grooming skills, creativity, and passion for animals in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Your day will involve performing expert-level grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning. You will prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every animal in your care, monitoring them for signs of discomfort or illness. Beyond the grooming table, you will interact professionally with pet parents, offering optimal customer service, addressing inquiries, and providing custom recommendations on grooming maintenance and at-home care practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for groomers with proven technical experience to grow their expertise. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and have access to all necessary supplies. The role offers a clear path for career development, with opportunities to advance to positions such as Grooming Salon Leader, Grooming Mentor, and Grooming Instructor.

Hiring Process

To join our team, candidates must successfully complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or possess previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program. We look for individuals with a genuine passion for animals, expert knowledge of various dog breeds, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy.
