This position is dedicated to creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. The primary mission is to establish and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return, while actively assisting the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals. Day in the Life
Your day involves fostering an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource, answering questions about products, offering samples, and recommending items to ensure customers find exactly what they need. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to maintaining product quality, including checking freshness, reviewing "sell-by" dates, and ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained.
Beyond customer interaction, you will play a vital role in store operations by labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise, as well as reporting any ordering or shipping discrepancies. You will also act as a guardian of safety and compliance, adhering to all food safety regulations, performing preventive maintenance on equipment, and promptly reporting any safety risks, accidents, or illegal activities to management.
