About the Role
As a Grill Cook, you will be the heartbeat of our kitchen, responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of delicious grilled dishes. Your expertise in grilling techniques and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment will directly contribute to the success of our restaurants and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
You will work closely with chefs, line cooks, and dishwashers to maintain a positive work environment and achieve our overall kitchen goals. From managing ingredient inventory to ensuring the highest standards of food safety and presentation, your role is vital in delivering the culinary excellence that Square One Concepts is known for.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePrepare and portion meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables for grilling according to established recipes

- check_circleFollow recipes and plating guidelines to consistently deliver high-quality grilled dishes
- check_circleAdhere to food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to maintain a safe environment
- check_circleEnsure accurate and timely preparation of customer orders with proper portion control
- check_circleCoordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during peak service hours
- check_circleMonitor food quality, taste, and presentation to uphold culinary standards
- check_circleAssist in monitoring ingredient inventory and report shortages or ordering needs
- check_circleClean and maintain grilling equipment and report any maintenance needs to supervisors
Requirements
- verifiedMust be at least eighteen years old
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- verifiedPrevious experience as a Grill Cook or similar role
- verifiedMust have a valid Food Handlers Certification
- verifiedAbility to learn cash register software (Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity)
Nice to Have
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a Grill Cook or similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
