We are seeking a detail-oriented Grants Technician I to serve as a vital support pillar for our Procurement, Grants, and Finance teams. This role is designed to ensure the integrity and compliance of our federal and state grant management lifecycle. You will work directly under the supervision of the Senior Grants Officer and the Department Director, acting as a key liaison between internal project managers and external regulatory bodies like the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the Grand Valley Metropolitan Council.
In this position, you will manage the full spectrum of pre- and post-award activities, from preparing grant awards to coordinating complex year-end audits and triennial reviews. Your day-to-day involves a blend of administrative precision and strategic support, including the development of procurement specifications, tracking purchase orders, and assisting with accounts payable duties. You will also serve as a consultant to other departments, helping to identify project needs and scope requirements in strict accordance with grant regulations.
This is an in-office position where your work directly impacts the agency's ability to secure and maintain critical transportation funding.
