About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Grant Accountant to support grant funding activities and financial oversight in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position focuses on managing the financial lifecycle of grants, spanning from pre-award budget coordination through post-award tracking, compliance, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will work closely with program leaders, finance partners, and external funders to maintain accurate records, support timely submissions, and strengthen accountability across grant-funded initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in identifying funding opportunities, preparing proposal packages, and ensuring that awarded grants adhere to sponsor requirements and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or related field
- verifiedAt least 2 years of experience in grant accounting, grant administration, fund management, or related role
- verifiedWorking knowledge of government grants, fund administration practices, and grant compliance standards
- verifiedExperience with budget monitoring, financial reconciliation, and grant-related reporting
- verifiedProficiency with Microsoft Office and financial or grant management systems, including Abila MIP
