We are seeking a detail-oriented GL Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California, for a 2-month contract assignment. This role is designed to support core accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing key statements, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong general ledger experience, sound analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in an in-person environment while meeting established deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleCalculate and monitor fixed asset depreciation using the straight-line method
- check_circlePrepare recurring financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries
- check_circleComplete month-end close tasks by posting journal entries and reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts
- check_circleAnalyze actual results against budget, identify variances, and support forecasting updates
- check_circleReview variance reports for completeness and accuracy, resolving discrepancies as needed
- check_circleMonitor accounts receivable activity and verify incoming payments are recorded correctly
- check_circleMaintain general ledger accuracy by recording routine accounting activity and updating financial data
Requirements
- verified3-5 years of accounting experience
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- verifiedProficiency with standard computer applications and day-to-day accounting systems
Nice to Have
Prior exposure to real estate accounting. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Proficiency with MRI.
