About the Role
We are seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterologist to serve as a GI Hospitalist for our inpatient GI consult service. This role offers a unique blend of clinical practice and academic instruction. You will spend 26 weeks (Monday–Friday) providing inpatient GI consultative services and cover 4 weekends of call annually. Your responsibilities will include performing general endoscopy and staffing consults alongside GI advanced practice providers and fellows.
A key component of this position is the opportunity to provide clinical instruction to GI fellows and internal medicine residents from the University of New England and Tufts University medical schools. This role represents an outstanding opportunity to live and practice in beautiful, coastal Maine, just an hour and a half north of Boston. The vibrant area offers four-season recreational opportunities, including skiing, hiking, boating, biking, and miles of beaches, alongside excellent public and private schools.
