DCS Corp is seeking a Principal-level GEOINT Systems Engineer to provide critical support to the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), specifically within the PEO Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR/SOF) Directorate. This role is dedicated to the ISR Sensors Division, where you will play a pivotal part in advancing the Next Generation U-2 Electro-Optical/Hyperspectral Sensor and other emerging imaging capabilities.
As a recognized industry leader, you will bridge the gap between complex operational requirements and technical execution. You will work directly with the Government team to define system specifications, lead technical projects, and drive the integration of advanced technologies into existing and future weapons systems. This position offers the chance to shape the future of airborne ISR engineering, influencing everything from sensor development and data compression to the integration of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and LIDAR systems on both manned and unmanned platforms.
In this Principal capacity, you will serve as a strategic advisor and technical expert, guiding programs from inception through conclusion. Your work will directly impact the acquisition and engineering processes of the DoD, ensuring that new capabilities are effectively identified, analyzed, tested, and implemented into the intelligence collection architecture. You will be responsible for translating high-level user needs into actionable system requirements, conducting trade-off studies, and overseeing the design and evaluation of complex subsystems.
The day-to-day involves high-level interface management, reviewing technical proposals, and leading efforts to resolve integration challenges across command, enterprise, and executive levels. You will provide expert guidance on DoD acquisition policies (including DoD 5000.01/02) and ensure that engineering solutions meet rigorous standards for performance, cost-effectiveness, and supportability. This is a unique opportunity to apply deep expertise in GEOINT technology to solve mission-critical challenges for the Air Force and Special Operations Forces.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of the customer requirements and the strategic importance of the programs supported, U.S. Citizenship is strictly required. Candidates must possess an adjudicated DoD Top Secret Security clearance on their first day of employment.
This is a Principal-level position designed for an individual with recognized ability as an industry leader. The successful candidate will typically hold a Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field with extensive DoD experience, or a Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited Engineering program with equivalent extensive experience. The role demands the ability to oversee the efforts of junior, journeyman, and senior contractor personnel across multiple technical disciplines.
