This position is based at our client site in Durham, NC. The successful candidate will bring a positive, can-do attitude and a drive for success to support daily facility operations. You will work alongside skilled trades personnel and supervisors to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the facility.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of hands-on maintenance and proactive inspections. You will perform a variety of repairs, from replacing floor tiles and carpet to handling plumbing, painting, and drywall work. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to preventative maintenance, including pressure washing, sheet metal work, and equipment inspections. You will also operate various tools for woodwork and furniture repairs, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Safety is paramount. You will adhere to strict safety regulations, including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). You will also ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and industry standards. All work orders will be managed through a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), where you will provide service and feedback to customers.
The work schedule for this role is Sunday through Thursday, from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. However, flexibility is required as various hours may be needed based on business demand. This position operates on a rotating on-call schedule to respond to maintenance emergencies after hours, on weekends, and during holidays.

Technical degree. Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams. Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus. Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
