About the Role

As a Traffic Control Technician I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of work zones on state highways and other roadways. Your primary mission is to set up and take down lane closures, redirect traffic for workers or survey crews, and maintain a secure environment for everyone on the job site. Whether working independently or as part of a crew, you will be the eyes on the ground, monitoring work zones to ensure safety devices remain in their proper locations throughout your shift.

This position offers a dynamic day-to-day experience that goes beyond simple setup. You will assemble, deliver, and pick up safety products from various job sites, following specific directions from contractors. The role requires adaptability, as you may be called upon to perform shop work, including general maintenance and repair of equipment. You will also be responsible for installing and resetting delineators, signs, posts, and supports, ensuring compliance with federal and state motor carrier safety regulations.

Hiring Process

Candidates must successfully pass a background check and a drug test, meeting all federal DOT requirements. We also require completion of the ATSSA TCT intermediate training course prior to or during the onboarding process.
