The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolic Diseases at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) boasts a fifty-year distinguished history of clinical, translational, and basic research on the complications of diabetes. Join a mission-driven organization where you will participate in clinical care, research, and teaching in charming Charleston. You will treat patients with a full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, bone, gonadal, and metabolic disorders, alongside diabetes. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of sixteen physicians, ten nurse practitioners/physician assistants, and dieticians.
You will have the opportunity to work in a newly opened joint endocrine/obstetric clinic and contribute to developing telemedicine initiatives. Teaching duties will focus on educating six Endocrinology fellows in training, as well as rotating residents and medical students. Physicians at MUSC Health benefit from team-based care models designed to support sustainable workloads, shared responsibility, and physician well-being, supported by AI-enabled documentation tools integrated into the Epic EHR.
