Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's is seeking a faculty member for the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology. The division specializes in Motility Disorders and is home to the Voelker Clinical Research Center, which supports faculty pursuing clinical research. Notably, the division has established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained five fellows.
This full-time faculty position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The role involves providing outpatient clinical care for children with intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders, as well as inpatient care, consultation, and emergency room services for similar conditions. The incumbent will perform general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures.
Beyond clinical duties, the successful candidate will participate in the supervision and education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology.
Interested candidates should review the minimum qualifications, which include an M.D., Ph.D., or D.O. degree, completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Texas Medical Board licensure, and Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology (or eligibility for the same).
