Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Digestive Health Institute. Our employed Medical Group includes over 1,000 physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout eastern New York and western Connecticut. Nuvance Health serves 1.5 million residents across New York and Connecticut, comprising more than 2,600 aligned physicians, 12,000 employees, and seven hospitals.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital with 371 beds and a Level II Trauma Center, handling approximately 70,000 ED visits annually. As a teaching hospital, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine.
This position offers a dynamic day-in-the-life seeing patients both in the outpatient office and the hospital. The role features a Monday-Friday workday schedule with no call responsibility, allowing for a balanced professional life. You will be part of a practice affiliated with Danbury Hospital, contributing to the expansion of our Digestive Health Institute.
Danbury, Connecticut, is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains on the border of New York State, approximately 60 miles northeast of New York City. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the region offers proximity to New York City culture alongside access to a wide array of four-season recreational activities. The area is known for highly rated public and private school options, universities, and easy access to Boston, New York City, New Haven, and Hartford.
