Our Gastroenterology team is well-established and multidisciplinary, consisting of outpatient general gastroenterologists, interventional gastroenterologists, IBD subspecialists, and GI advanced practice providers who have completed years of specialized training. We are actively recruiting a Board Eligible or Board Certified Inpatient Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join this dedicated group.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a consult-only GI inpatient service at Parkview Regional Medical Center and Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The role is designed to optimize the physician experience, allowing for quick assessment and treatment of inpatient GI cases.

You will cover one hospital during the day and two hospitals at night. The schedule offers flexibility with 7-on/7-off or 14-on/14-off rotations, totaling 26 weeks per year for a 1.0 FTE position. Night call coverage averages one in three shifts, supported by an inpatient nocturnist APP who takes first call. The team is bolstered by excellent support from two APPs and two RN physician extenders who handle consults, arrange endoscopies, and manage follow-ups.
