Franciscan Digestive Care Associates, part of The Center for Digestive Health at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is a destination program for the care of patients with digestive health concerns in the Puget Sound region. The center is founded on providing the best possible clinical outcomes, with a strong focus on innovation through research and training the next generation of experts. Over 80 clinicians in gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery provide over 76,000 clinic visits, 55,000 endoscopic procedures, and 9,000 surgeries annually. The infrastructure includes a clinical research and analytics team, academic support, and several clinical and research fellowships, with clinicians engaged as faculty in training medical and surgical residents.

About the Role
We are seeking a BC/BE gastroenterologist hospitalist to practice in Lakewood, WA, within a collegial, multidisciplinary care environment supported by superb staff. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional clinician with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork. This role offers the opportunity to practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine.
The position operates on a one-week on, one-week-off schedule. On weekdays, hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with one night call per month. Weekday duties include covering two hospitals with Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support, while weekend coverage spans one to two hospitals from Friday 5 p.m. to Monday 7 a.m. The schedule generally consists of 23 weekday blocks and 23 weekend blocks.
