In this position, the Registered Nurse will partner with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Supervisor to develop plans ensuring total patient care is adhered to for every resident in the unit. The role focuses on managing medicine and treatment-related administrative activities within agreed timelines and facility standards. From picking up doctor's orders to ensuring timely delivery of supplies, the RN acts as a central hub for clinical coordination.
Day-to-day, you will monitor resident vital signs, reporting significant changes immediately to the medical team, and ensure all residents remain comfortable with their needs met. You will serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries from family members, the medical team, and administrative staff, handling communication via writing, phone, or face-to-face interactions. Additionally, you will coordinate outside appointments for residents, such as laboratory and rehab visits, while overseeing the nursing activities of LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure adherence to activities of daily living.
The role also involves educating family members on proper resident care, managing wound treatment needs including pressure ulcers, and maintaining thorough medical records. You will provide timely feedback to leadership regarding resident conditions to ensure proper treatment and manage inventory levels to maintain resident comfort.
This position offers a pay rate of $36 per hour. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem options are available for a variety of shifts.
