Veterinarian-founded and owned, Lap of Love offers an alternative to traditional in-clinic practice. We have created a career path where veterinarians can practice with purpose while living a life that feels balanced and supported. Our mission is to honor your time, support your well-being, and reconnect you with the heart of why you became a veterinarian.
As an In-Home Associate Veterinarian in Dallas, you will provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families during one of life's most meaningful moments. This work is deeply appreciated and emotionally fulfilling, allowing you to practice medicine that fills your heart and aligns with your values.
You will join a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals who thrive in our culture of kindness. While practicing independently, you will always feel connected through ongoing training, seasoned mentors, and dedicated practice managers who want to see you shine. The role offers an average of 3–4 un-rushed appointments per day, giving you more time with families and less time on paperwork.
At Lap of Love, you don't have to choose between a fulfilling career and a full life. We foster a culture of kindness where gratitude is present at every appointment. With flexible 2–5 day-per-week schedules, you can enjoy freedom beyond the walls of a traditional clinic, ensuring you truly live your best life both professionally and personally.
We are committed to lifting you higher with comprehensive support. This includes a guaranteed base salary with no negative accrual, bonus opportunities, and a 401k with a 3% company match. We offer generous PTO that increases over time, along with medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
Your professional growth is prioritized with up to $2,000 in annual CE allowance and additional PTO days for development. We also provide a free Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian (CPEV) certification, a wellness stipend, company-paid life insurance, and generous paid parental and bereavement leave. Additional perks include dependent care FSA, short- and long-term disability insurance, and pet insurance.
Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check post-hire and before their associated start date. Successful applicants will receive comprehensive onboarding and personalized mentorship to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
