This position serves as a vital link in the freight logistics chain, responsible for transporting cargo across the dock area to and from trailers. The role ensures that goods are loaded efficiently and securely, maintaining the flow of operations in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
You will work in a dynamic dock setting where you must adapt to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise. The position requires physical stamina to lift and move freight of varying weights, including heavy dock plates and trailer doors, while performing tasks such as verifying documentation, securing loads with straps and pallets, and repairing damaged goods when necessary.
Shifts run from 02:00 to 10:30, though hours may vary based on operational needs. The environment is characterized by frequent contact with service center personnel and a high level of activity. Success in this role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
