About the Role
As a Freight Brokerage Carrier Sales Representative, you will serve as the strategic backbone of our transportation network. Your primary mission is to source reliable transportation providers and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of freight movements, ensuring our customers receive seamless truckload and LTL coverage. You will operate with full autonomy to develop carrier coverage strategies that maximize market penetration for our client portfolios.
This role is a dynamic partnership between sales and operations. You will directly engage with Account Executives, Shipment Management Associates, and Business Development Managers to build a robust network of service providers. Your day-to-day involves tendering loads, setting appointments, dispatching, and proactively solving root-cause issues to maintain a World Class customer satisfaction index. You will be the face of Ryder Shipment Management Services, representing the company professionally to both internal teams and external constituents while navigating a fast-paced, competitive environment.

Requirements
- verifiedH.S. diploma/GED required
- verifiedBachelor's degree preferred in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
- verifiedThree (3) years or more business experience required
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Transportation Industry, carrier modes & services and basic Supply Chain design and functionality
- verifiedKnowledge and support of RIL policies and procedures
- verifiedDemonstrated PC skills in MS Access, Excel, Word
- verifiedClear understanding of SMS legacy system
- verifiedUnderstanding of assigned customer, customer product and distribution requirements
