About the Role
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Freight Auditor plays a critical role in ensuring billing accuracy and operational integrity. This position focuses on investigating freight shipments that are potentially misclassified and determining the necessary actions to adjust billing. The goal is to identify billing discrepancies, verify them, and resolve issues for both the client and the company.\n In this role, you will interpret carrier tariffs and service guides to apply rules to invoices, validate proper documentation provided by carriers, and examine freight bills for accuracy based on customer and carrier pricing agreements. You will also interact professionally with customers via email and phone to answer questions and recommend potential pricing improvements or savings opportunities by analyzing customer contracts. Success in this position requires the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and contribute to a collaborative team effort.
