Freestanding/Hospital ED- EMT

About the Role

MCT Express is seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians to join our team within hospital and freestanding emergency departments. As an EMT, you will be a vital member of the emergency care team, providing essential BLS patient care in accordance with established procedures and local clinical protocols. Your role is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, medical personnel, and equipment while maintaining the highest standards of care.

In this position, you will interact professionally with patients, family members, and colleagues, often in high-pressure and rapidly changing environments. You will be responsible for maintaining your unit and equipment in a clean, organized, and ready condition after every response, ensuring that all medical tools function correctly. Success in this role requires the ability to prioritize decisions quickly, maintain composure during stressful situations, and adapt to scenarios that may involve violence or emotional instability within a multicultural setting.

Hiring and Onboarding Process

Candidates selected for this position must complete a comprehensive onboarding and training program established by the facility. All personnel are required to be certified by the Hospital educational program to work inside the Freestanding ED or Hospital ED as part of the hospital emergency department team. This includes passing all required competencies deemed appropriate by the Hospital Medical Director and Administration.

The selection process involves a background investigation, a pre-employment drug screen, and the submission of current negative PPD test results. Candidates must also demonstrate a clean DMV record and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Failure to achieve and maintain the appropriate certification disqualifies any employee from participating in the program.
