As a Forward Deployed Engineer on the Sales Engineering team, you will serve as the critical bridge between LMI's technology and our government customers. This role is designed for those who thrive in dynamic environments where technical execution meets strategic customer engagement. You will work directly with clients on-site, in a hybrid format, or remotely, often requiring occasional short-term travel to customer locations across the United States.
Your primary mission is to integrate the LIGER GenAI platform into existing business processes and build new functionalities to meet specific customer needs. You will ensure successful software deployments, conducting proof-of-concept demonstrations to showcase LIGER's capabilities. This position requires the ability to rapidly turn ideas into production-caliber code while providing technical consulting and guidance throughout the integration and deployment phases. You will support customers for 60-180 days post-sale before transitioning the deployment to a long-term project team, ensuring a seamless handoff and continuous improvement based on customer feedback.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, LMI will only consider applicants who currently hold a security clearance or are eligible for one, due to the nature of the work. An active Secret clearance is required for this role, with a Top Secret clearance preferred.

TOP SECRET clearance preferred. Proven ability to work quickly and independently as part of a small team of engineers to deliver high-quality, tailored solutions. Experience in sales engineering within the federal government sector, with a deep understanding of federal customers' unique challenges and requirements. Expertise in developing strategic relationships with key stakeholders and fostering long-term customer partnerships. Ability to clearly communicate the value and benefits of technical solutions to non-technical audiences. Ability to provide strategic input on product enhancements and development based on market trends and customer feedback. Familiarity with DoD Cybersecurity requirements and vulnerability management concepts. Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and utilizing tools such as GitLab. Familiarity with container orchestration engines such as Kubernetes (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, Kops, OpenShift). Proficiency with MCP Server and experience building MCP tools. Hands-on experience in containerizing applications. Strong background in Unix/Linux operating systems. High energy, enthusiasm, and the ability to effectively interact with senior executives from both government and industry. Experience with leadership, management, and providing issue resolution and expert guidance to teams. Knowledge of AWS products and capabilities, with specific experience in GovCloud environments.
