Anduril's Deployment Operations group is part of the Mission Autonomy team, dedicated to bringing cutting-edge defense technology to the field. We operate at the intersection of hardware, software, and networking, ensuring our systems function reliably in the most unpredictable environments on Earth.
About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (internally known as a Technical Operations Engineer), you will be the bridge between our engineering teams and the field. Based in Costa Mesa, this role requires you to go forward with products early in their lifecycle, working directly with engineering to iteratively improve them based on real-world performance.
You will be both a teacher and a student. You must coach teammates on systems you've mastered while simultaneously diving deep to learn the next generation of technology. Your day-to-day involves guiding users through product employment, troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues in unstructured situations, and advising account managers on operational structures to ensure technical success. You will take full ownership of delivering technical solutions, from pre-configuring systems and ensuring seamless integration to managing low-voltage and high-voltage electrical components and conducting root-cause analyses for incidents.
This is a high-impact role for those ready to tackle innumerable challenges. You will travel to remote regions of the world for up to two months at a time, supporting military defense projects and ensuring the reliability of our Mission Autonomy systems in the field.

Candidates selected for this role must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret/Secret clearance and meet specific health and medical requirements in accordance with DFARS and DoDI regulations prior to deployment.
