About the Role
The Food Service Worker at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital plays a vital role in the Nutrition Services team, ensuring that patients receive safe, therapeutic meals tailored to their specific dietary needs. This position is essential for supporting patient recovery and satisfaction by managing the entire lifecycle of meal service—from preparation and assembly to delivery and collection.
In this role, you will work collaboratively within a busy healthcare environment to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and food quality. Your day will involve preparing and serving meals according to strict therapeutic diet orders, accurately recording patient intakes, and assisting with food production tasks. Beyond direct patient service, you will contribute to the operational efficiency of the department by managing floor stock, organizing inventory, and maintaining rigorous sanitation standards in the dish room and kitchen areas.
The position requires flexibility and a strong team mindset. You will support the Nutrition Services team by performing a variety of duties, including dishwashing, cleaning, stocking supplies, and assisting with salad preparation, ensuring that patient, customer, and departmental needs are met promptly and professionally.
