About the Role
The Food Service Worker plays a vital role in supporting the manager to ensure high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety. This position is essential for maintaining the operational flow of meal preparation and service, ensuring that every guest receives a safe and satisfying experience. The role involves a dynamic day-to-day rhythm of preparing quality food and baked goods, managing cash receipts, and maintaining accurate meal records. You will be the eyes and ears of the kitchen, coordinating with the manager daily to understand the menu, supervising food temperature requirements, and ensuring storage is handled in an accurate and sanitary manner.
Success in this role requires the ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure while adhering to all food safety regulations. From adding garnishments to ensure customer happiness to coordinating major cleaning efforts for refrigerators and cooking equipment, you will help create a balanced and safe environment. This position may involve physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing, as well as the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
