Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. We bring that vision to life through our values and culture, creating an environment where leaders have meaningful experiences that help them build and develop skills for a career.
The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring products are fresh, in stock, available, and accurately priced. As experts in operations, process, and efficiency, this team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, and promotional signing processes for all areas of the store.
As a Food Service Team Leader, no two days are ever the same. You will partner with a team to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience while managing the daily rhythm of the department. Your day involves planning daily and weekly workloads to support business priorities, assigning tasks based on guest traffic patterns, and ensuring the team understands and delivers on Target's guest experience commitments.
You will actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great moments. This role requires you to assess back-of-house production areas and dining spaces to ensure food safety and proper inventory levels. You will lead the team to uphold brand standards (such as Starbucks and Pizza Hut), make just-in-time production decisions to ensure freshness, and participate in hiring and onboarding processes. Additionally, you may occasionally assume store-level leadership responsibilities to enable the guest experience during assigned shifts.
Target offers comprehensive training to teach you everything you need to know to be a Food Service Team Leader. If you enjoy interacting with others, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and are open to a variable work schedule, this role may be for you. Please note that while previous retail experience is preferred, it is not required.
Target is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. In compliance with state and federal laws, Target will make reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities. If a reasonable accommodation is needed to participate in the job application or interview process, please reach out to candidate.accommodations@HRHelp.Target.com.
