Located at The Resort at Kapalua Bay in Maui, this Food and Beverage & Culinary position is a vital part of our daily operations. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout your shift. Your day will involve setting up and stocking work areas, inspecting all china, glass, and silver prior to use, and practicing clean-as-you-go procedures to ensure a pristine environment.
As a key member of the team, you will welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, communicating with clear and professional language. You will work closely with your colleagues to support the team in reaching common goals, listening to and responding appropriately to the concerns of others. The role requires physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for an entire shift, as well as the ability to move, lift, and manipulate objects weighing up to 50 pounds. You will also navigate sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs as part of your duties.
Your responsibilities extend to completing closing duties, which include storing reusable goods, breaking down items, cleaning all equipment and areas, and securing the facility by locking refrigerators and doors. You will also complete daily cleaning checklists and ensure all equipment is returned to its proper location. Throughout your shift, you will adhere to all company, safety, and security policies, reporting any accidents or unsafe conditions to your manager.
