Position Purpose
Our Meat Cutter will execute day-to-day operations in our Meat and Seafood departments, providing a memorable experience for all our customers. This role requires a keen eye for food safety and sanitation, alongside the ability to assist in stocking, production, and merchandising while offering unmatched customer service.
About the Role
As a responsible and friendly team member, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment where safety and excellence go hand in hand. Your day will involve a variety of tasks, from ordering, cutting, grinding, and slicing to weighing, wrapping, and labeling products according to strict quality and freshness standards. You will utilize specialized tools like knives, saws, and grinders while adhering to all meat department safety protocols.
Beyond the counter, you will play a key role in controlling product shrink and inventory expenses through proper handling and trimming techniques. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, neat, and well-stocked work area, including meat service cases and self-service displays. Whether preparing ready-to-go products, slicing deli meats and cheeses, or ensuring goods are displayed according to merchandising guidelines, your goal is to ensure every customer order is completed on time and to their satisfaction.
