Food City Bookkeeper

About the Role

This position serves as a vital link between front-end operations and store accounting. Alongside standard cashier duties, the Bookkeeper manages all phases of the store's front-end accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in compliance with company standards. The role is designed for a responsible and friendly individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Day in the Life

You will be the face of the store's financial integrity and customer experience. Your day involves making objective decisions regarding office supplies and equipment to maximize store performance. You will handle all aspects of cash management, including daily banking procedures, safe balance reconciliation, and the verification of bank deposits and cash variation reports.

Beyond the numbers, you will engage with customers through genuine greetings, product information, and selling suggestions, ensuring a positive atmosphere for everyone. You will also maintain a clean and orderly workspace, including the office, customer service counter, and check stand, while assisting with auditing work and responding to company accountants as needed.
