As the Floral Department Manager, you will be the driving force behind our department's success, implementing company policies to maximize sales and profits while embodying our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. This role is pivotal in fostering a "Customer 1st" culture, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.
You will serve as a role model for your team, demonstrating the friendliness and courtesy that define our brand. Your day-to-day involves orchestrating the entire lifecycle of floral operations, from receiving and storing products to pricing, merchandising, and producing Florist Transworld Delivery orders. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, guarding against waste, and ensuring a pristine environment through effective housekeeping.
Beyond operational management, you will act as a coach and mentor to your direct reports. This includes training staff on pricing strategies, rotation, and productivity, as well as conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback. You will analyze departmental performance continuously, making data-driven recommendations to the store manager to drive process improvements. In this high-paced environment, you will also be the first point of contact for resolving customer complaints and managing conflicts with a calm, nonconfrontational approach.
