The Floor Supervisor serves as a vital leader within our restaurant environment, responsible for supervising employees and driving operational excellence. This role goes beyond simple oversight; it involves planning and assigning work, implementing policies, and recommending improvements to production methods, equipment, and working conditions. The Floor Supervisor balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results, ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
In this position, you will manage departmental performance measures using visual controls and provide regular progress reports to management. You will lead through a 30-day planning cycle, ensuring department priorities are met while maintaining proper inventory levels. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to fostering effective employee relations, providing coaching and development, and resolving issues through problem resolution. You will also be responsible for tracking absenteeism and timekeeping, as well as performing accident investigations when necessary.
This position operates in a dynamic restaurant setting where the noise level can be loud. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, and frequently lift or move items up to 10 pounds (occasionally up to 25 pounds). The position may require long hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet operational needs.
