About the Role
The Patient Care Assistant serves as a vital support member of the healthcare team, dedicated to ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients across all age groups. This role goes beyond basic assistance; it requires a deep understanding of patient needs relative to their chronological age, developmental stage, and psycho-social maturity. The position is designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering compassionate care in a dynamic clinical environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care and assistance to patients, ensuring their daily needs are met with dignity and respect. Your day-to-day activities will include transporting patients, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and monitoring the function of essential medical equipment. A key component of the position involves accurate and timely documentation on appropriate forms, ensuring that patient records reflect the highest standards of care.
Application Instructions
Candidates must possess a High School diploma or equivalent. While six months of previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, the team is committed to developing talent. Similarly, while a STNA certification and Basic Life Support Certificate are preferred, the organization supports growth by allowing new hires to obtain their Basic Life Support certification within 90 days of employment. All candidates must be able to maintain current CPR certification.
